proper noun · STRY-kuh (He/Him)

I love telling stories about people in bold and brilliant ways. I’m a London-based photographer and creative producer with a particular interest in music, fashion, art and subculture.

I’ve worked across television, fashion and editorial, developing creative concepts, producing engaging content and documenting the people and communities that make the world interesting.

I grew up in South London with a curiosity for people and their lives. I started taking photographs from an early age, before moving into filmmaking for musicians. I created the online music publication Totally Wired Magazine, which pulled me deeper into London’s cultural scene. I went on to study Fashion Journalism at Central Saint Martins, and for the past five years I’ve been Rough Trade’s in-house photographer, documenting hundreds of artists and the worlds surrounding them.

Curiosity is still what keeps me motivated. So, if you have an idea, project or role that could benefit from a curious mind, get in touch.

“G’Wed” Series Stills & Key Art
ITVx

2026
Role: Series Photographer

I worked with ITV across three series of the comedy G’Wed, supplying promotional stills on location in Liverpool and helping develop and shoot the key artwork in studio.

For the key art, the challenge was to capture the show’s mix of teenage ambition, humour and harsher realities in a series of images which would grab attention quickly across streaming platforms.

With a large ensemble cast, I worked carefully around composition, character hierarchy and spacing so that each person could feature without the image becoming crowded, particularly at mobile and tablet sizes.

The final artwork balanced personality, clarity and the slightly chaotic tone of the series, while delivering a flexible image that could work across different formats.

Central Saint Martins
Portfolio Advice Videos
2026
Role:  Project Lead

Earlier this year, I was asked to lead the redevelopment of Central Saint Martins’ portfolio advice video series for applicants to its undergraduate courses.

Having once been an applicant myself, I understood how intimidating the process could feel. I wanted to turn the college’s academic guidance into something warmer, clearer and more engaging, while still retaining its authority.

I led the project from concept through to delivery, shaping the format, tone and overall approach. The result was a more accessible and watchable series designed to help applicants feel better informed, more confident and more connected to the internal community.

Sub_culture Magazine
2025
Role: Editor

My final-year project was called Sub_Culture, a magazine exploring the people, communities and underground scenes shaping subculture in London and across the UK.

As editor, I developed the concept, commissioned and curated work from subculture photographers, wrote and edited features, and designed the magazine from cover to cover.

The project brought together documentary photography, journalism and editorial design into a single publication celebrating contemporary subculture. One of my own photographs from the project was later nominated for the Abbey Road Music Photography Awards 2026.

Rough Trade Merch Campaign
2024 / 2025

Role: Creative Producer, Photographer
I’ve produced and photographed a number of merchandise campaigns for Rough Trade, reworking the store’s own products through a more fashion-led visual approach.

The aim was to retain Rough Trade’s iconic identity while giving the imagery a more contemporary edge. I developed the creative direction and photography to make the merchandise feel wearable and tied to the culture and history surrounding the stores.

CSM UG Guide
2026

Role: Content Assistant, Photographer
I worked as a Content Assistant on the Central Saint Martins Undergraduate Guide, helping shape how the college presented its courses, students and creative community to prospective applicants.

I selected student work from across the college and produced portrait shoots with students from a wide range of disciplines. The aim was to create an honest, visually engaging picture of life at Central Saint Martins while reflecting the diversity and character of the people who study there.

The final guide brought together student work, photography and information into a clear introduction to the college and its creative soul.

Social Documentary, Fashion
and Live Music Photography
Since 2020

I’ve been resident photographer at Rough Trade’s London record stores for the past five years, photographing hundreds of artists and events.

Alongside this, I photograph underground club nights, fashion, protests and portraits across London, with a particular interest in subculture.

Across all of my work, I’m drawn to people with a strong sense of identity and the spaces and communities that form around them.

Glue Magazine
2021
Role: Editor

Glue Magazine was a student-led publication for University of the Arts London, created to showcase student work and cover the people, ideas and culture surrounding the university.

As editor, I helped shape the magazine’s direction, commissioning and producing features alongside interviews with fashion designers, musicians, editors and other creatives. The publication became a platform for connecting student work with the wider creative industries.

Totally Wired Magazine
2020
Role: Editor

I founded Totally Wired Magazine in 2019 as a platform for discovering and promoting underground music.

The site grew into an international network of more than 20 volunteer writers, covering new music from Europe, America and Asia. As lockdown restrictions eased, I expanded the project beyond editorial content into live music sessions, helping turn the magazine into a broader platform for emerging artists and scenes.

Pitch Design

I’ve designed dozens of pitches for television. Here are just a few:
